Spaces & Facilities

You can find details on each of the spaces available to hire below, what facilities are in each hall, and what kind of capacity you can expect.

Chyvelah, Pengelly, and Hugus halls all have COVID-19 air filters for you to use, circulating and cleaning the air twice an hour. We also have Wi-Fi throughout the building, and a variety of chairs and tables available for you to use.


No Hidden Costs

There are no additional charges for electric, heating, chairs, or tables. This is all covered in the hire price we charge you. We also have a projector and 60″ screen available on request, though this cannot be booked and is on a first come, first served basis.


Free Wi-Fi

We have free Wi-Fi available throughout the building – login details can be found on the noticeboard in the hall you have hired.



To help keep our costs low and competitive, we do not have a full-time cleaner. We rely on our hirers cleaning up after themselves, including taking their rubbish away with them. When you book with us, we’ll give you details of how to access our cleaning cupboard to help you leave the space clean and tidy.

Our Main Hall


Chyvelah hall is our main hall within the centre and is by far the most popular and frequently booked. Measuring 16m x 9m at its widest point, it’s large enough to facilitate bouncy castles inside, and has the added benefit of both a stage and a bar. It also has two sets of double doors connecting it with Pengelly hall next door – should you need even more space!

A medium-sized hall


Pengelly hall is our next largest space, with a capacity of up to 50 people and measuring 9m x 5m. Ideal for small groups, craft clubs or meetings – but still big enough for parties should you want a smaller affair!*

Book Pengelly and Chyvelah hall together and open up the connecting double doors to give yourself additional space for those extra-large events.

*Please note bouncy castles will not fit in this hall due to having a lower ceiling than Chyvelah.

Book the kitchen with the use of this hall for a small additional fee.

Our kitchen can be booked for a small fee with either Pengelly or Chyvelah halls, and has an electric oven, gas hob, full-size fridge, microwave, commercial hot water urn, large plate and food warmer, kettles, catering tea pots, and a selection of crockery and cutlery. Please note we do not have bakeware, pots, pans, or a dishwasher.

A medium-sized hall


Hugus is our smallest hall, in an “L” shape. Measuring 6.5m x 7.8m at its widest point, it has a capacity of up to 40 people. We’ve recently installed a small kitchenette into Hugus, with a sink, kettle, microwave, and mugs. This is particularly useful given that Hugus does not have access to the kitchen.

Please note bouncy castles will not fit in Hugus hall.

A small private room

The committee room

The committee room is the smallest space you can hire at Threemilestone Community Centre, measuring 5.3m x 3.25m.

This room is ideal for small, private, and potentially sensitive meetings. It is accessed both from Chyvelah hall (making it an ideal “break out” space for workshops and large events), and from the outside. It is a fully enclosed area with no visible distraction, and is ventilated via grilles and an extractor fan. The outside door can be propped open on warmer days as well, if needed.

Please note, if you hire the committee room alone, facilities will need to be accessed by walking around the exterior of the building.
